Accessibility Statement

SwipeHire is built to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Looking for work is hard enough on its own, and an interface should never be the thing standing in the way.

We treat accessibility as part of building the product rather than something added at the end. Every new screen is checked with a keyboard and with a screen reader before it ships.

The site is built to meet Israeli Standard 5568, which adopts the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA. In practice we work against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which is a superset of that requirement.

Conformance was assessed by our own development team through manual keyboard testing, screen reader testing, and colour contrast measurement. The site has not undergone an external accessibility audit by a certified accessibility surveyor.

Full keyboard control. Every link, button, form field, and menu can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus outline. A "Skip to main content" link appears as the first stop on each page.

Screen reader support. Pages use semantic HTML with proper headings and landmark regions. Icon-only buttons carry text labels, images carry alternative text, and dialogs announce themselves and hold focus while open.

Readable text. Body text meets the required contrast ratio against its background. Text can be enlarged with the browser zoom up to 200% without losing content or function, and pinch-zoom on mobile is never blocked.

Motion. If your operating system is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions are switched off automatically.

An accessibility button sits in the bottom corner of every page. It opens a menu where you can enlarge the text up to 150%, switch to a high contrast display, underline all links so they are not identified by colour alone, and stop animations across the app.

Your choices are saved in your browser and stay in effect on your next visit. The menu itself is fully keyboard operable and can be closed with the Escape key.

The interface is available in Hebrew and in English. Switching the language also switches the reading direction of the entire layout, so Hebrew is presented right to left as it should be.

You can switch languages from the button at the top of this page, or from the Settings screen once you are signed in.

We would rather tell you where the gaps are than claim there are none.

Job listing text comes from external sources. Listings are collected from employer career pages and job boards. We control how a listing is presented, but not how the employer wrote it, so a listing may contain unclear formatting or an image with text we cannot describe.

Payment pages are hosted by Stripe. Checkout runs on Stripe's own pages, under Stripe's accessibility practices rather than ours.

Generated PDF documents. Resumes and cover letters exported as PDF are not yet fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one of these documents in an accessible format, write to us and we will send it as plain text.

If you ran into something you could not use, we want to hear about it. That includes a control you could not reach with the keyboard, text you could not read, or a document you need in another format.

Write to talm13124@gmail.com and tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and which assistive technology or browser you use. Those three details let us reproduce the problem quickly.

We aim to reply within 7 business days and to describe what we intend to do about it. If a fix will take longer, we will offer you another way to complete the task in the meantime.

Accessibility is ongoing work. We review this statement whenever we make a significant change to the interface, and at least once a year.
